December is a month for curling up and reading a good mystery. Or if you are young have a murder mystery party.
Above grandaughter Joy, Chris and his gang, Grandaughter, Rita and friend from the animal surgery with Granddaughter Hannah, Amelia and her pal, Rita and Chris.
While Mom Connie takes care of little Chris and Grandma reads the Mistletoe Murders by P. D. James and Val McDirmid’s latest mystery, Out of Bounds, Granddaughters stage a Murder Mystery birthday party for big Cris. A good time was had by all.
What a cute party. I’ve never been to a mystery party but my daughter has. She really enjoyed it. Glad you reminded me about Val McDermid. I checked but my library doesn’t have it yet. I’m on the list.

Thanks Mage. And they made the decorations and costumes themselves.

Have you read any of Louise Penny’s mysteries–the Armand Gamach series is really good.

Yes, I have read several of them. I like Gamache, but he’s not scary enough for me.

These sisters are very close and that always amazes me given some sisters are not.

Looks like great fun. I’m starting in on another Michael Connelly myself.

I bet that’d be fun, but at this lifevstagevI’d settle for curling up with an Agatha any day.

I’m impressed with their creativity. And given that some of them belong to the AA fellowship, I imagine no alcohol was offered or consumed. Restores my faith in the young.
