The Gardener’s Toast at the End of the Year

220px-Mistletoe_Postcard_1900May your flowers flourish, your bees prosper,

Your birds love you, your pet fishes live

forever.  May the blight never visit the tendrils

that make your arbors and porches leafy,

your borders gay or your fern banks

verdurous; and may you find every little

thing that lives and grows a pleasure for the

present hour and a suggestion of things

higher and brighter for contemplation in the

future. I herein reach my hand toward you

with an affectionate farewell.

  1. New year – new header. Nice looking dogs too – shame one of them showed signs of being possesive, but then the shelter should also have warned you about the new one’s dislike of other dogs.
Happy New Year Dianne to you and all your family.
