On my way

Joy kissing a camel.

Joy kissing a camel.

I had surgery yesterday, but stayed numb from the waist down until mid-evening. I asked the nurse to unplug me from the epidural, which they kept going all afternoon at half the dosage. Too much anesthesia. Today, I had PT and climbed staircase which I must do at home.

Nausea, vomiting, yuck!  Catheter all day yesterday, output = three liters.  No pee since they took the catheter out this AM. Got to pee and have BM before I go home .

Am on WIFI..this hospital is wired and when I am able to sit up, I am loving it. Home tomorrow..I hope. Workers are interesting people, but I want to go home.

  1. Congratulations on doing so well. I hope the nausea etc, passes quickly. I am well aware of the desire to go home to your own space, own bed and familiar bits and pieces. I returned home today from my latest extended trip to Dublin.

  2. When I spent 3 nights in the hospital in 2011, I had to pay for wifi. I got my money’s worth, because I blogged continuously — mine and other’s. Hope you get to go home very soon.

  3. Nausea and vomiting? OH no… That is no fun at all. I’m so sorry. However, I’m glad it’s all done now. I hope all your internal systems start going soon and you’ll be able to go home right away. How neat that you’ve got wifi!

  4. Good for you for coming through so well! Glad you can stay in touch while you’re there, but as Dorothy once said, “there’s no place like home!”
