You may have heard that Hostess Bakery plants shut down due to a workers’ strike
But you may not have heard how it was split up.
The State Department hired all the Twinkies,
The Secret Service hired all the HoHos,
the generals are sleeping with the Cupcakes
and the voters sent all the Ding Dongs to Congress.

I completed a graduate degree in History May 2012 at age 70. Before I retired, I was the manager of an economics group in a large corporation until 1989. After that. I worked for the Census Bureau and retired permanently in 2006.
